Benn Slams Eubank Jr's 'Victim Mentality'

Benn emphasized that boxers are "modern-day gladiators" who must accept the inherent hardships of the sport, including difficult weight cuts and injuries, without seeking public pity. He cited his own experiences of fighting through injuries, asserting that such struggles are part of the game and should not be used to reframe a defeat. Benn believes Eubank Jr's decision to fight implied a belief he was good enough to win.

Reflecting on their second encounter, Benn stated he "took Eubank Jr's soul" and that his rival would never recover from the loss. Consequently, Benn strongly advised Eubank Jr to retire, suggesting he had achieved considerable financial success and should leave the sport to avoid further injury.
