Conner Lehner's Four-TD Night Sparks Mogadore's Playoff Blowout

On November 7th, the Mogadore Wildcats put on a dominant display, routing the East Palestine Bulldogs 54-7 in a Region 25 quarterfinal matchup. The night began with a special celebration, as the Mogadore band and cheerleaders performed "Happy Birthday" for the team's superfan, Richie Stefan, who was turning 56.

The Wildcats wasted no time taking control of the game. After forcing a three-and-out on East Palestine's opening drive, Mogadore scored on their second play from scrimmage, as senior running back Conner Lehner raced 69 yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead. Lehner continued his impressive performance, adding two more long touchdown runs of 73 and 19 yards in the first half, finishing with 242 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on just 8 carries.

Mogadore's defense also played a crucial role in the victory. Junior quarterback Maddox Smith, who also stars as a defensive back, made several key plays to shut down East Palestine's offense. He delivered a big hit on a receiver, forcing a turnover, and later intercepted a pass in the red zone to prevent the Bulldogs from scoring.

By halftime, the Wildcats had built a commanding 54-0 lead, triggering the running clock. Mogadore's dominant physical play on both sides of the ball proved too much for East Palestine to handle, as the Wildcats cruised to a lopsided victory.

With the win, Mogadore advances to the Region 25 semifinals, where they will host No. 7 East Canton next week. The Wildcats' impressive performance and the birthday celebration for their beloved superfan Richie Stefan have set the stage for an exciting postseason run.
