Colts Eye Rivaldo Fairweather Ahead of Season

The Indianapolis Colts are preparing to host tight end Rivaldo Fairweather for a workout on September 8. This evaluation occurs as the team faces depth concerns at the tight end position.

Will Mallory's current placement on injured reserve has left the Colts with only three active tight ends. Furthermore, the team does not currently have a tight end on its practice squad, highlighting the need for additional players.

Fairweather, listed at 6-foot-4 and 252 pounds, entered the league as an undrafted player in 2025. He has had previous stints with the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals. His preseason performance this year was notable, securing 17 out of 20 targets for 150 yards, leading the league in preseason receptions. He has not yet appeared in a regular-season game.

During his collegiate career at Auburn, Fairweather demonstrated his receiving ability, particularly in his final two seasons, where he accumulated 64 receptions for 721 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2024, over half of his snaps were from the slot position.
