16 Oct
Summary
- Jonathan Taylor aims for a breakout game with strong gap scheme runs.
- Colts' expensive secondary must contain struggling Titans QB Cam Ward.
- Quenton Nelson faces a key matchup against Titans' Jeffery Simmons.
The Indianapolis Colts, holding a 2-3 record, face a critical Week 6 matchup against the winless Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium. A victory is essential for the Colts' playoff aspirations.
Star running back Jonathan Taylor is anticipated to have a breakout performance, particularly through gap scheme runs, where he leads the league. Despite facing a competent Titans run defense, Taylor's history suggests he could achieve over 100 rushing yards.
The Colts' secondary, one of the NFL's most expensive, must step up against Titans quarterback Cam Ward, who has struggled significantly this season. Ward ranks among the league's worst in passing yards and passer rating.
On the offensive line, Quenton Nelson is set for a crucial battle against Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, a highly paid and impactful player. This individual matchup is expected to heavily influence the game's outcome.
The Titans enter Week 6 with a 0-5 record, seeking their first win against a divisional opponent.
