Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Ernest Campbell recently demonstrated his exceptional speed by winning the 60-meter dash at the "Colorado Last Chance" indoor track meet. Campbell's winning time was 6.80 seconds, outpacing the competition. Head coach Deion Sanders and several football players were present, cheering on their new transfer.
Campbell joined the Buffaloes after a standout 2025 season with Sacramento State, where he recorded 37 receptions for 755 yards and eight touchdowns. His ability to generate big plays, with five touchdown receptions of 50 yards or more, highlights his value as a deep threat. He follows former Sac State coach Brennan Marion, now Colorado's offensive coordinator.
The Buffaloes' receiving unit for 2026 sees significant changes. Leading receiver Omarion Miller transferred to Arizona State after pacing Colorado in receptions, yards, and touchdowns in 2025. To bolster the depth, Colorado has also acquired former San Jose State wide receiver Danny Scudero and four-star transfer DeAndre Moore Jr. from the Texas Longhorns.
