Coco Gauff Reaches Wimbledon Semis After Thriller

Coco Gauff has advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals after a dramatic comeback victory over Jessica Pegula. The 22-year-old American triumphed 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 on Centre Court, fighting back from a set down in a match lasting one hour and 48 minutes.

This achievement makes Gauff the youngest player to reach the semifinals of all four Grand Slam tournaments since Maria Sharapova in 2007. Gauff had previously reached the semifinals of the other three majors by the age of 19.

Gauff will now compete against either Naomi Osaka or Karolina Muchova for a place in the final. This marks her first major semifinal appearance since her French Open win last year.

Previously, Gauff had struggled at Wimbledon, with her best results being fourth-round finishes. She expressed surprise and happiness at her performance, particularly after a difficult preceding two years on grass courts.
