Brugge Rejects Galatasaray's Bid for Onyedika
22 Jan
Summary
- Club Brugge rejected Galatasaray's January transfer bids for Onyedika.
- Onyedika has played 165 games, scoring eight goals since joining Brugge in 2022.
- Galatasaray may need to wait until the summer for the midfielder.

Club Brugge has rebuffed Galatasaray's attempts to sign midfielder Raphael Onyedika this January. Despite ongoing interest from the Turkish club, Brugge has consistently turned down their offers. A January transfer would require an exceptionally compelling bid, as Club Brugge intends to retain Onyedika.
Onyedika, who joined Club Brugge in 2022, has become an integral part of the team's midfield. He has made 165 appearances and scored eight goals for the Belgian side. His contract with Club Brugge is set to run until 2027, suggesting Galatasaray may need to shift their focus to the summer transfer window.
Galatasaray's patience could be rewarded if Onyedika shows no inclination to extend his current contract. Given the significant interest in the Nigerian midfielder, he might prefer a move away from Belgium rather than signing a new deal. He previously won a Danish title and cup with FC Midtjylland before securing league and cup honors with Club Brugge.
