Sorsby also underwent treatment for a diagnosed addiction and had previously pursued legal action against the NCAA for reinstatement, which led to significant controversy for Texas Tech. The University of Cincinnati is now suing Sorsby in federal court, accusing him of breaching his name, image, and likeness contract after his transfer to Texas Tech. Sorsby, who had a strong performance for Cincinnati last season, intends to contest the lawsuit.
