Auburn has secured a new offensive weapon with the addition of Christian Neptune from the NCAA transfer portal. Neptune, a wide receiver previously with South Florida, spent one season with the Bulls. He was a key contributor to their explosive offense, appearing in 11 games.
During his time at USF, Neptune demonstrated his capabilities by accumulating 38 receptions for 335 yards and scoring one touchdown. His versatility extended beyond receiving, as he also recorded six carries for 39 yards and even threw a 29-yard touchdown pass. Neptune also took on occasional return duties, though with limited impact.
Prior to his college career, Neptune was recognized as a three-star prospect. His move to Auburn comes as running back Durell Robinson has entered the transfer portal. Robinson sought his fourth program in four seasons, having played at Charlotte and UConn before Auburn, where he dealt with injuries during the past season.
