Summary
- Rennes seeks over €70 million for Jeremy Jacquet.
- Chelsea interested in defender fitting new manager's system.
- Kendry Paez loan talks aim for English club development.
Stade Rennes is reportedly setting a high price for defender Jeremy Jacquet, with reports suggesting an 'XXL offer' of over €70 million is required for his transfer. This valuation aims to establish a new club record, exceeding the fee received for Jeremy Doku's move to Manchester City.
Chelsea has expressed interest in the 20-year-old, seeing him as a potential fit for new manager Liam Rosenior's squad due to his ability to play out from the back. However, the substantial fee represents a significant hurdle for the Premier League club.
In parallel, Chelsea is reportedly in discussions regarding midfielder Kendry Paez. The club is considering terminating his loan spell at Strasbourg and arranging a temporary move to an English club to further his development before he integrates with the senior Chelsea team.
