- Mamadou Sarr expected back from Strasbourg loan soon.
- Chelsea addresses defensive gaps due to player injuries.
Chelsea is nearing the finalization of deals for defensive players Aaron Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr. Anselmino has been recalled from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund and is expected to join RC Strasbourg. Sarr is also poised to return to Chelsea from his loan at the same French club.
These resolutions come as Chelsea addresses defensive shortages due to injuries sustained by Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo. The club faces a critical transfer deadline, aiming to secure its squad for the remainder of the season.
Anselmino initially showed reluctance to join Strasbourg but an agreement now appears likely. Sarr is anticipated in London on Monday to finalize his loan termination and return to Stamford Bridge. The club is also managing interest in Axel Disasi from West Ham and AC Milan.
