Charlo Warns Tszyu: "My Brother Is Elite"

Jermall Charlo has sent a double-barreled warning to Tim Tszyu regarding the upcoming bout against Errol Spence Jr. on July 26th. Charlo asserted that while Tszyu is a courageous fighter, he would stand no chance against his twin brother, Jermell Charlo, in a potential future showdown.

Charlo, who is also slated to fight on the stacked undercard against Koen Mazoudier, expressed that he knows very little about his own opponent. He admitted to not even knowing what Mazoudier looks like, stating his focus is solely on his own performance. This contrasts with the significant attention paid to the Tszyu-Spence Jr. matchup.

Despite his brother Jermell's prediction that Tszyu would defeat Spence Jr., Jermall Charlo disagreed. He believes his longtime friend and training partner, Errol Spence Jr., will emerge victorious in what he expects to be a brutal contest. Charlo emphasized that Spence Jr., despite a three-year absence since his loss to Terence Crawford, remains a formidable fighter.

Jermell Charlo is expected to attend the Tszyu-Spence Jr. fight in Sydney, where he may challenge the winner. If Tszyu wins, a fight with Jermell Charlo, previously scheduled for late 2022 but postponed due to Jermell's hand injury, could finally materialize. Jermall Charlo acknowledged the possibility of Tszyu having an advantage if Jermell isn't at his best, but ultimately feels his brother would prevail.
