Summary
- Henry Cejudo's Misfits Boxing debut opponent changed.
- Javon Walton, actor and boxer, replaces Deen The Great.
- The fight is scheduled for September 26 in Miami.
Misfits Boxing has revealed a major alteration to its September 26 event in Miami, Florida. UFC legend Henry Cejudo's debut for the promotion has a new opponent.
Cejudo was preparing to face Deen The Great (Nurideen Shabazz) in the main event. However, Misfits Boxing announced on social media that this matchup has been changed. The reason for Shabazz's withdrawal has not been publicly stated.
Instead, Henry Cejudo will now compete against Javon 'Wanna' Walton. Walton is a 20-year-old professional boxer with a 3-0-1 record and is also recognized for his acting career, notably on HBO's 'Euphoria.'
This switch occurred just over ten days before the scheduled fight date at the James L. Knight Center. Walton signed with Jake Paul's MVP in 2023 and brings an undefeated professional boxing record into this high-profile bout.
