Cavaliers Empower Evan Mobley as Offensive Orchestrator
1 Nov
Summary
- Cavaliers' core quartet of Mobley, Mitchell, Allen, and Garland remains intact
- Mobley averaging 4.6 assists per game, second on the team
- Cavaliers coach Atkinson confident in Mobley's ball-handling and decision-making

As of November 1st, 2025, the Cleveland Cavaliers are making a concerted effort to evolve their team by empowering Evan Mobley, their four-year veteran and rising star, to take on a more prominent offensive role.
Last season, the Cavaliers finished with the best record in the Eastern Conference but were ultimately eliminated in the second round of the playoffs. Injuries played a significant part in their early postseason exit, but the team also acknowledged the need to adapt and improve.
Rather than breaking up their core quartet of Mobley, Donovan Mitchell, Jarrett Allen, and Darius Garland, the Cavaliers have chosen to be patient and demonstrate their belief in this group's ability to lead them to a championship. A key part of this strategy is the increased responsibility being given to Mobley.
