Casemiro Joins Messi: A Dream Team Realized

Casemiro has officially joined Inter Miami as a free agent, signing a contract through the 2027 MLS season with an option for an extension. The 34-year-old midfielder revealed his primary motivation for joining was to play alongside Lionel Messi, whom he described as the "god of football." Casemiro stated he had multiple offers after leaving Manchester United but was most drawn to the prospect of reuniting with Messi and helping him win more trophies.

Previously, Casemiro spent nine seasons at Real Madrid, a period marked by intense rivalry with Messi's Barcelona. "The amount of problems Messi gave me, of course I dreamed of playing with him," Casemiro shared. He expressed his happiness at finally being teammates and his desire to contribute to Messi's winning legacy. Casemiro made his Inter Miami debut last Saturday in a 1-0 victory over CF Montreal and is expected to play at their home stadium this Saturday against the Columbus Crew.
