Summary
- Carter Hart activated off injured reserve, starting Thursday's game.
- Hart previously acquitted of sexual assault charges in July.
- Vegas signed Hart to a two-year, $4 million contract in October.

Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart has been activated from injured reserve and started Thursday night's game against the Calgary Flames. Hart's return comes after being sidelined since sustaining a left leg injury on January 8.
This activation marks a significant point for Hart, who was one of five 2018 Canada world junior hockey players acquitted of sexual assault charges in July. He was the first of those players to agree to an NHL contract, signing a two-year deal worth $4 million in October. The league had ruled these players eligible to sign and play starting in October and December, respectively.
Hart's return adds a third goaltender to the Golden Knights' roster, joining Adin Hill, who has been the primary starter, and Akira Schmid. Coach John Tortorella, who previously coached Hart in Philadelphia, expressed confidence in the young goalie.
Hart made his first NHL appearance in nearly two years on December 2 in a 4-3 victory over Chicago. His current contract ensures his presence with the team for the immediate future.
