Colts Eyeing Josh Sweat Trade Deal

The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly begun fielding trade inquiries regarding their Pro Bowl defensive end, Josh Sweat. This development has drawn attention from teams like the Indianapolis Colts, who are actively seeking to strengthen their defensive line. Sweat is coming off a highly productive 2025 season, where he recorded a career-best 12.0 sacks and forced a career-high four fumbles, demonstrating he remains in prime form despite his eighth NFL season.

The Colts are particularly interested in pairing Sweat with their emerging star, Laiatu Latu. Despite facing double teams and limited support, Latu showed significant improvement in 2025, leading the team in sacks, pressures, and tackles for loss. The addition of Sweat would provide much-needed support and create a potent pass-rushing duo, reminiscent of the formidable pairings of Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis from earlier eras.
