7 Oct
Summary
- Cardinals add TE Kenny Yeboah, OL Austin Deculus, and S Mark Perry.
- Tight end Hunter Long placed on injured reserve, Teagan Quitoriano promoted.
- Yeboah previously played for Jets, Deculus has NFL experience with Texans/Chargers.
The Arizona Cardinals have made significant adjustments to their practice squad, adding three new players in anticipation of Week 5. Tight end Kenny Yeboah, offensive lineman Austin Deculus, and safety Mark Perry have been signed to the practice squad.
These additions follow the placement of tight end Hunter Long on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Consequently, tight end Teagan Quitoriano has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. Cornerback D'Shawn Jamison and offensive lineman Vershon Lee were released from the practice squad to create space for the new signings.
Yeboah, who played for the New York Jets from 2021-2024, has a connection with Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur from their time together in New York. Deculus, a sixth-round draft pick in 2022, brings experience from the Houston Texans and the Chargers, having played in 26 games with six career starts.
Perry, a former college player from TCU, enters the NFL as an undrafted rookie. He has spent time on the practice squads of the Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, and New England Patriots. He has yet to play in an NFL game. The updated practice squad now features a mix of established players and developing talent.
