Kreiter joins Cardinals, reunites with coach

The Arizona Cardinals are preparing for their training camp, which begins on July 22, with an eye on finalizing their roster for the upcoming season. As part of this preparation, long snapper Casey Kreiter is set to join the team for his first season in 2026. Kreiter brings a wealth of experience, having entered the league in 2014. He spent time with the Dallas Cowboys before making his mark with the Denver Broncos for four seasons, earning a Pro Bowl selection. He then played six seasons with the New York Giants.

Kreiter's move to Arizona reunites him with special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial. He has signed a one-year contract worth close to $1.5 million, which includes a $187,500 signing bonus and a guaranteed salary of nearly $1.1 million. This qualifying veteran contract will have a salary cap hit of approximately $1.26 million.

With Kreiter being the only long snapper currently on the roster, he is expected to secure the starting role unless an injury occurs. This marks a notable career repetition, as Kreiter also replaced Aaron Brewer as the Broncos' long snapper in 2016.
