The St. Louis Cardinals have announced 27 non-roster invitees for their 2026 Spring Training camp. Top performers from the 2025 season, including Texas League MVP JJ Wetherholt and Pitcher of the Year Ixan Henderson, are among those set to report in Jupiter, Florida. This significant addition expands the Cardinals' Spring Training roster to a total of 67 players.
Several players acquired during the recent offseason or after the start of last season will participate. The camp also welcomes eleven newcomers to Major League camp, including several pitchers, catchers, infielders, and an outfielder. Notably, players like Quinn Mathews, who was recognized as MiLB & Baseball America Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2024, are returning to the roster. Packy Naughton, who previously pitched for the Cardinals, is also set to join after recovering from an arm injury.
Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to hold their first practice on Thursday, February 12, 2026. The first full squad workout is slated for Monday, February 16, 2026, officially kicking off preparations for the upcoming season with the expanded group of 67 players.
