The Arizona Cardinals are a frontrunner to secure Gus Bradley as their new defensive coordinator, with the team holding an advantage in appointing him as play-caller. This development follows the recent hiring of Mike LaFleur as the Cardinals' head coach. LaFleur is expected to have significant input on the offensive side.
Bradley, who has nearly two decades of NFL coaching experience, notably served as the defensive coordinator and play-caller for the Seattle Seahawks' famed 'Legion of Boom' defense from 2009 to 2012. He also had a previous stint as head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2013 to 2016.
His coaching resume also includes defensive coordinator positions with the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts. Most recently, Bradley was an assistant head coach with the San Francisco 49ers during the past season. The Cardinals see his extensive experience and recent NFC West knowledge as valuable assets for their young coaching staff.
