Cardinals' 2026 Opponent Still Unknown

Arizona Cardinals fans are still in suspense regarding their team's Week 1 opponent for the upcoming 2026 NFL regular season. As the full schedule release approaches on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM AZ time, the Cardinals remain the only NFC West team whose opening game opponent has not been revealed.

While their division rivals are set for Week 1 matchups—the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams facing off in Australia, and the Seattle Seahawks hosting the New England Patriots—the Cardinals' fixture is unknown. It has also been confirmed that Arizona will not participate in any international games during the 2026 season. Despite facing what is anticipated to be a difficult schedule, the team will travel less than many others and is unlikely to be featured in primetime, with Thursday Night Football being their only potential for a national broadcast.
