Campbell Taps Coaching Star Ali Jaques for Women's Basketball

Campbell University has welcomed Ali Jaques as the new head coach for its women's basketball program. Jaques arrives at Campbell following a remarkable season with Rhode Island, where she served as associate head coach. During her time there, the Rhode Island team achieved a program-record 28 victories.

Her coaching experience is extensive, including a prior nine-season tenure as the head coach at Siena College. Jaques has also held coaching positions at other institutions such as George Washington and Seton Hall. Early in her career, she was recognized for her athletic prowess as an elite student-athlete at New York University, where she played both soccer and basketball and helped lead the basketball team to a Division III title in 1997.

Jaques expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating Campbell felt like the right place from her initial visit. Tammi Reiss, the former Rhode Island coach, endorsed Jaques, expressing confidence in her ability to develop Campbell into a championship-caliber team. Jaques' nearly three-decade coaching journey also includes roles at Northwestern, Dayton, Furman, Sacred Heart, and Rider.
