Further details emerged this week as Ashlynn shared glimpses of an engagement party on her Instagram Stories. These included reposts from her mother, featuring the couple with loved ones and Bruno Mars' "Marry You" playing. Ashlynn is the daughter of Doug Nussmeier, offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, and sister to quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, recently drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs.

The couple's story began at Louisiana State University, where both Will and Ashlynn's brother, Garrett, played football. Ashlynn is expected to graduate from LSU in 2027 and is a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Their relationship was made public on Instagram in 2024.
