Cambridge United Exceeds Rebuild Plans, Ahead of Schedule

Cambridge United has achieved promotion back to League One, exceeding their initial rebuilding timeline. Director of Football Mark Bonner confirmed that the club is "ahead of the curve" on a two-year plan, having secured third place in League Two this season.

This rapid return to League One marks a historic achievement for the club, as they have never accomplished promotion in their history. Bonner credited the squad's significant improvement, especially in the latter part of the season, to the positive environment, coaching staff, and management.

Finishing third with the seventh-highest budget in the league, Cambridge United secured automatic promotion by a single point over Salford. Bonner emphasized that this accomplishment is a testament to the hard work of manager Neil Harris, his staff, and the players.
