Browns Linebacker Dilemma: Who Fills the Void?
9 Mar
Summary
- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah out for season, likely retiring.
- Devin Bush enters free agency after career resurgence.
- Kaden Elliss eyed as potential linebacker replacement.

The Cleveland Browns are in a precarious position at linebacker for the upcoming season. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has been ruled out for the entire year and is expected to retire due to his injury.
Adding to the challenge, key linebacker Devin Bush is entering free agency after a strong performance last season where he recorded over 120 tackles and three interceptions.
Kaden Elliss, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons, is being considered as a potential replacement. Elliss played under new Browns coach Mike Rutenberg and has demonstrated significant skill, including over 300 tackles and 12.5 sacks in his last three seasons.
Elliss, who will turn 31 by the start of the season, is projected to seek a multi-year contract valued around $30 million. The Browns also remain interested in re-signing Bush, though his past inconsistency before joining Cleveland is a concern.
Bush, still only 27, is anticipated to pursue another one-year contract. His performance under Jim Schwartz last season was notable, earning him All-Pro votes for his contributions in coverage and run support.
