Even after a significant trade for wide receiver Jaylen Waddle last month, the Denver Broncos are actively evaluating potential mid- and late-round receiver prospects for the 2026 NFL draft. The team recently conducted virtual meetings with seven different receivers.
Among those scouted was Mississippi State's Brenen Thompson, who recorded an exceptionally fast 4.26-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. The Broncos also met virtually with Caleb Douglas, Josh Cameron, Cyrus Allen, Donaven McCulley, and CJ Daniels, all considered late-round prospects. CJ Daniels also had an in-person meeting during his pro day.
With these evaluations, the Broncos are preparing for the 2026 NFL draft, scheduled to take place in Pittsburgh from April 23-25. The team now holds seven picks for this upcoming draft event.
