Bridlington Serves Up World Beach Volleyball

Bridlington, England, is preparing to host the World Beach Pro Tour, the premier international beach volleyball competition, from June 25 to June 28. This marks the first time the tour will be staged in England and will be free for spectators to attend. The event is expected to provide a significant tourism boost for local businesses in East Yorkshire.

The competition will feature elite players from various countries, including Spain, Canada, and Germany. Notably, England's team includes Maks Makowski and Josh Cosgrove, both born in Yorkshire and raised playing on Bridlington's beaches. They expressed their excitement about competing on home sand.

Beyond the main tour, Bridlington will also host the Northern European Volleyball Zonal Association (NEVZA) Senior Championships from June 21 to June 25, and the Youth Beach Championships from June 30 to July 2. Attendees aged 16 and over can also participate in beach volleyball clinics led by Volleyball England-qualified coaches on June 27 and 28.
