Brewers Ace's Pokémon Glove Hides Rare Charizard Card

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski recently showcased a custom glove adorned with Pokémon themes. This unique piece of equipment notably features a rare Charizard trading card concealed inside, highlighting Misiorowski's well-known affinity for the popular franchise. His glove also sports his surname in a distinctive Pokémon font and colors inspired by Charizard.

This isn't the first time Misiorowski has incorporated trading cards into his gloves; previous designs have included his own rookie card and a Japanese Gengar card. His enthusiasm for Pokémon became widely visible last season after he revealed a holographic Charizard card, eliciting a strong reaction from teammates.

Despite his stellar 10-4 record, a 1.62 ERA, 106 strikeouts, and 0.76 WHIP this season, Misiorowski will not be pitching in the All-Star Game. The decision stems from arm fatigue, a disappointment for the pitcher who was initially slated to start. He acknowledged that prioritizing his arm's recovery is essential, even if it means missing significant events.
