Back-to-Back NL Manager of the Year Signs Extension

Pat Murphy, the National League's reigning back-to-back manager of the year, has agreed to a contract extension with the Milwaukee Brewers. The new agreement will keep him at the helm through the 2028 season, with the club holding an option for 2029. This deal effectively reworks the final year of his previous contract while adding two additional years.

Murphy took over as manager in 2023 and has since led the Brewers to the postseason in both of his seasons. The team achieved a franchise-best 97-65 record last season, which was also the best in Major League Baseball. Murphy's consistent success has extended Milwaukee's dominance in the NL Central to three consecutive seasons.
