13 Oct
Summary
- Brewers hold a two-game lead over the Dodgers in the NLCS.
- Christian Yelich is hitting .368 with three RBIs this postseason.
- Milwaukee is now two wins away from reaching the World Series.
The Milwaukee Brewers now hold a commanding two-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. This places Milwaukee just two wins away from a World Series appearance.
Christian Yelich, the Brewers' captain, has been a standout performer this postseason. Despite a difficult 2026 regular season where he slashed .235/.315/.378, Yelich is thriving in the playoffs. He is currently batting .368 with an .876 OPS and three RBIs.
This playoff success contrasts with his performance last year, where he struggled against the Dodgers in the NLCS. The Brewers' offense is strong, their bullpen has been incredible, and their starters are performing well, making them a formidable opponent.
