Brewers and Cubs Reschedule Doubleheader Showdown at Wrigley

On Tuesday, Aug. 19, the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs will look to complete their scheduled doubleheader at Wrigley Field. The first game, which begins at 1:20 p.m., will feature Brewers right-hander Chad Patrick (3-7, 3.52) taking on Cubs left-hander Matthew Boyd (11-6, 2.46).
In the nightcap, scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start, the Brewers will send right-hander Brandon Woodruff (4-0, 2.06) to the mound against Cubs right-hander Jameson Taillon (7-6, 4.44).
The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Monday, Aug. 18, but was limited to just the matinee due to impending storms. The teams will now attempt to get both games in on Tuesday.
Additional games between the Brewers and Cubs are also scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 20 and Thursday, Aug. 21 at Wrigley Field. On Wednesday, the Brewers will start Jacob Misiorowski (4-1, 3.89) against the Cubs' Colin Rea (9-5, 3.99). Thursday's matchup will feature the Brewers' Quinn Priester (11-2, 3.48) against the Cubs' Shota Imanaga (8-5, 3.06).
