Woodard Schedules Official Visit to Rutgers

Brandon Woodard, a highly-touted four-star power forward in the 2027 class, has set his first official college visit. The 6-foot-9 rising senior from Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland will visit Rutgers on September 19th. Woodard previously received an offer from the Scarlet Knights after an unofficial visit last summer.

Ranked as the No. 74 overall prospect nationally by Rivals, Woodard is also the No. 8 power forward and the No. 2 player in Maryland. He has taken unofficial visits to VCU and Georgetown and holds offers from numerous other programs, including Virginia Tech, Villanova, and Florida State.

Woodard expressed his desire to play for a coach committed to his development and who maintains open communication. He seeks accountability and honesty throughout his college career. Scouts note his exceptional athleticism and high-flying play above the rim, with potential as a small-ball center.

Woodard's athletic prowess is a significant draw for programs like Rutgers. His ability to impact the game at the rim and his developing defensive presence are key aspects of his game, making him an intriguing prospect for teams looking for high-upside talent.
