Legendary quarterback Tom Brady has lauded Brock Purdy's performance, suggesting the San Francisco 49ers' signal-caller deserves to be considered among the league's elite. Brady emphasized Purdy's adeptness at playing within the offensive system, his accurate throws, and his knack for avoiding detrimental plays.
Purdy's statistics through the initial three games of the season underscore Brady's assessment. He achieved a 72.3% completion rate, accumulating 789 passing yards with nine touchdowns against a single interception. Notably, Purdy has not been sacked and has not fumbled, also contributing significantly with 93 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
The 49ers have capitalized on Purdy's consistent play, securing a 3-0 record and amassing 98 points, placing them second in league scoring. This success has been achieved despite a depleted receiving corps, with Purdy relying on a limited group of offensive weapons by the end of a recent matchup.
Purdy's mettle will be further tested in an upcoming Week 4 game against a Denver defense known for its pass rush. Brady's endorsement implies confidence in Purdy's capability to continue his mistake-free approach under pressure.
