A six-year-old boy has demonstrated incredible generosity by raising thousands of pounds to support a campaign for defibrillators in football stadiums. Initially seeking funds for his own specialized sports goggles to aid his football play, his fundraising efforts quickly exceeded expectations. The young enthusiast's goal of £250 was surpassed within just three hours.
The excess funds, amounting to over £3,000, were then donated to the Lauren's Legacy campaign. This initiative was established by Paul Gregory in memory of his daughter, Lauren Walker, who passed away in 2023. The campaign's objective is to install a defibrillator in each corner of every sporting arena to potentially save lives.
As a fellow supporter of Sheffield Wednesday, the boy expressed his desire to contribute to Lauren's Legacy because it helps save lives. He is further committed to the cause and is planning a 10km bike ride on 29 May at Rother Valley Country Park. To date, he has successfully raised a total of £3,470.
