Bowen Vows to Lead West Ham Back to Premier League

Jarrod Bowen has declared his intention to remain with West Ham United, aiming to spearhead their return to the Premier League following their relegation.

Bowen's commitment comes despite speculation linking him with moves to other top-flight clubs. He signed a new seven-year deal in October 2023, and his primary motivation is to help West Ham regain their Premier League status.

"The main motivation for me is staying and bringing this club back into the Premier League where we belong," Bowen stated. He emphasized the ambition shown by club owners Daniel Kretinsky and Jiri Svarc during a recent meeting in Prague.

Bowen, who has been with West Ham for six and a half years, expressed his deep connection to the club and its supporters. He acknowledged the disappointment of relegation but highlighted the fans' loyalty, with 50,000 season ticket holders opting to remain with the club in the Championship.

He added, "We need everybody to be a part of that. It is about what we create as a group and what environment we create." Bowen believes the team must foster a strong desire, attitude, and winning mentality to navigate the challenges of the Championship.

Last season, Bowen made 42 appearances, contributing 11 goals and 12 assists. He has scored 85 goals and provided 63 assists in 280 appearances for West Ham, including the decisive goal in their 2023 Europa Conference League final victory. He also has one goal in 22 appearances for England.

West Ham's first fixture of the new Championship season will be an away match against Burnley on Sunday, August 16. This marks a reunion of the two relegated Premier League clubs.
