Boston Fleet Dominates PWHL Awards

The Boston Fleet were the stars of the 2026 PWHL Awards, held in Detroit on Tuesday night. This remarkable team clinched five of the seven major individual honors presented. Aerin Frankel was a standout performer, being named both the league's Most Valuable Player and the Goaltender of the Year. She made history as the first netminder to win MVP. Frankel set new league records with 19 wins and eight shutouts. The Boston Fleet also tied for the league lead with 62 points in 30 games. Her teammates Megan Keller and Haley Winn were recognized as Defender of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively. Kris Sparre of the Boston Fleet received the Coach of the Year award, celebrating his team's successful season. Other award recipients included Kelly Pannek of the Minnesota Frost for Forward of the Year and Rebecca Leslie of the Ottawa Charge, who won the PWHL "Hockey For All" Award for her community impact. The All-Star and All-Rookie teams were also announced, further highlighting the league's top talent.
