Bocelli & Carey Light Up Milan Cortina Olympics Opening

The opening ceremony for the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics on February 6th will feature world-renowned performers Andrea Bocelli and Mariah Carey. While the main event unfolds at Milan's San Siro stadium, the ceremony's reach will extend to Cortina, Livigno, and Predazzo, acknowledging the geographically diverse nature of these Olympic Games. This unique approach ensures athletes from all disciplines can be part of the spectacle.

The three-hour event is anticipated to be the most-watched moment of the Games. In addition to musical performances, the ceremony will include a special tribute to the influential Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, honoring his profound legacy in Milan and the fashion world. Armani's long-standing connection to designing Italian Olympic uniforms will be highlighted.

Organizers have announced that Italian actors Sabrina Impacciatore and Matilde De Angelis will also participate. The event is expected to draw a live audience of 60,000 spectators, with millions more tuning in globally. The closing ceremony will be held on February 22nd in Verona.
