- Debut race is at Nürburgring 24H on May 16-17.

The BMW M3 Touring, once a niche concept, is now set to compete in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). This station wagon, which began as an April Fool's joke, has been transformed into a GT3 race car, the M3 Touring 24H.
It will debut in the NLS next week, with its primary focus on the Nürburgring 24H race taking place on May 16 and 17. This event will also feature Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen.
While sharing many technical specifications with the M4 GT3 EVO, the M3 Touring 24H will compete in the SPX exhibition class due to GT3 regulations requiring two-door coupes. The car will be driven by Jens Klingmann, Ugo de Wilde, Connor De Phillippi, and Neil Verhagen.
This marks a unique entry for BMW M Motorsport, with head Andreas Roos expressing excitement for the fans and the show this unique car will provide. The M3 Touring 24H joins a rare lineage of racing station wagons, reminiscent of the famous Volvo 850 Estate that raced in the British Touring Car Championship in 1994.
