Kansas coach Bill Self has addressed circulating rumors about his potential retirement, issuing a denial to the Kansas City Star. He was also hospitalized in January of this year as a precaution due to illness. Despite these past issues, Self recently reported feeling "as good as I've felt in a long time."
Self has been the head coach at Kansas since 2003, accumulating a record of 634 wins and 167 losses. During his tenure, he has led the Jayhawks to two national championships.
