Bielema impressed by Duke's aggressive style

Illinois head coach Bret Bielema anticipates a physical contest against Duke, led by coach Manny Diaz. Bielema shared that he and Diaz are not strangers, having crossed paths multiple times previously. He specifically commended Duke's teams for their aggressive and physical brand of football, calling it 'fun to watch.'

Bielema, known for his own physical coaching philosophy, noted that his team also emphasizes this approach. An added layer of familiarity exists between the two coaching staffs, as Duke's current defensive ends coach previously served under Bielema at Illinois. Bielema humorously acknowledged losing an assistant to Diaz but noted that Diaz was the one who initially introduced him to the coach.
