Indian football icon Bhaichung Bhutia is now part of ZEE5's expert panel for the FIFA World Cup 2026, enhancing the viewing experience for fans. ZEE has secured the Indian broadcast and streaming rights for a comprehensive list of FIFA events, including the Men's and Women's U-17 and U-20 World Cups, Futsal World Cups, and the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027. These rights extend through 2034 for several tournaments, signaling a significant push into football broadcasting in India. The platform is also launching four dedicated sports channels, Unite8 Sports 1, 1 HD, 2, and 2 HD. Bhutia expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting the World Cup's inspirational role and the opportunity to deepen football's connection with Indian audiences. He aims to bring fans closer to the tournament's narratives and rivalries. The FIFA World Cup 2026, scheduled from June 11 to July 19, will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, featuring a record 48 participating teams.
