Portuguese powerhouse Benfica is reportedly setting its sights on Al-Nassr winger Wesley for a potential January transfer. The Brazilian joined the Saudi club in the summer of 2024 from Corinthians and has since featured in 33 matches across all competitions, contributing four goals and four assists. This current season, he has scored three goals and provided one assist in 11 appearances.
Wesley, who primarily plays as a left-winger but can also operate on the right, has made seven starts this season, with only one in the Saudi Pro League. His contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire in 2028, and his current market value is approximately €5 million. Al-Nassr's head coach, Jorge Jesus, is reportedly open to letting the player leave, indicating a potential shift in the team's composition.
In separate comments made in November 2025, former Saudi star Fahad Al-Harifi lauded coach Jorge Jesus's impact on Al-Nassr. He singled out Angelo as the team's most important player over the past month and a half due to his all-around contributions, while also praising Joao Felix for his 'magical touches,' notably omitting Cristiano Ronaldo from his list of top performers.
