Summary
- Caleb Williams is expected to return for the Bears on Sunday.
- The Bears are currently rated No. 19 in DVOA, with a strong offense.
- The Falcons' defense has shown vulnerability in recent games.
Chicago is poised for a significant boost as quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to return to full practice and play on Sunday. While their season faced challenges with injuries at the quarterback position, the Bears have demonstrated resilience, maintaining a strong profile with impressive offensive and defensive rankings.
Despite recent struggles, the Bears are rated 19th in FTN's DVOA, with their offense ranked 14th and defense 20th. Before a recent setback, they were considered the 9th best team overall, indicating their potential even with backup quarterbacks.
The Atlanta Falcons present an interesting matchup, having recently welcomed back Michael Penix Jr. However, their defense, which has outperformed expectations against the run, has shown concerning trends in recent games, giving up more yards per carry. This vulnerability could be exploited by the Bears' potent rushing attack.
