- Bradbury brings significant starting experience to the offensive line.

The Chicago Bears have made a significant move to strengthen their offensive line, agreeing to acquire center Garrett Bradbury from the New England Patriots. This trade, which involves a 2027 fifth-round pick, cannot be finalized until the new league year commences on Wednesday. Bradbury's arrival addresses the void left by Drew Dalman's unexpected retirement.
Bradbury, a 2019 first-round selection, spent his first six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before joining New England. He is under contract with the Bears for $4.7 million in the upcoming year. In his sole season with the Patriots, Bradbury started all 17 regular-season and four playoff games, proving instrumental in stabilizing an offensive line featuring rookies.
His 105 career starts offer much-needed stability for the Bears' offensive line, which has seen key departures this offseason. This includes not only Dalman's retirement but also the expected absence of left tackle Ozzy Trapilo for most of the 2026 offseason due to injury. These moves, alongside the trade of DJ Moore and the release of Tremaine Edmunds, have created significant cap space for Chicago.
