Saturday's 'Der Klassiker' at the Allianz Arena features an early Bundesliga title race showdown between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Both teams are currently level on 17 points, maintaining undefeated records this season. Bayern Munich faces several injury concerns, notably the absence of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer due to foot pain. Midfielder Joshua Kimmich's availability is a late decision after returning to training.
Borussia Dortmund arrives with fewer injury worries, having won their last three matches across all competitions. They boast the league's best defensive record, having conceded only four goals in seven Bundesliga games. This defensive strength will be tested against Bayern's potent offense, which has already scored 25 league goals. The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. local time on October 31.
The clash offers a significant opportunity for either side to gain an advantage in the title race. Bayern possesses the home-field edge and a potent attack, while Dortmund's solid defense and counterattacking prowess make them a dangerous opponent. The outcome of this fixture is poised to significantly shape the early trajectory of the Bundesliga season.
