Summary
- Bangladeshi spinner Rishad Hossain dismissed Indian captain Virat Kohli in Champions Trophy
- Rishad set to play in Big Bash League, first Bangladeshi cricketer since 2014
- Rishad says dismissing Kohli was his "favorite wicket" in the tournament

In a recent development, Bangladeshi spinner Rishad Hossain has revealed that dismissing Indian captain Virat Kohli was his favorite wicket in this year's Champions Trophy. During a Group A match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Rishad trapped Kohli, who scored 22 off 38 balls. Despite his effort, Bangladesh ultimately lost the match by six wickets.
Rishad, who also took the wicket of Axar Patel, finished as Bangladesh's standout bowler with figures of 10-0-38-2. However, the Tigers were unable to defend their total of 229 runs. Rishad described the experience of dismissing Kohli as "completely new" and said he was overwhelmed by the positive response he received back home.
In another exciting development, Rishad Hossain is set to play in the Big Bash League for the Hobart Hurricanes, marking the return of a Bangladeshi cricketer to the league since Shakib Al Hasan represented the Melbourne Renegades in 2014-15. Rishad, who was unable to participate in the league last year due to the Bangladesh Cricket Board's denial of a No Objection Certificate (NOC), is now thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase his skills on the global stage.
"I'm truly happy and excited for the Big Bash. It's one of the biggest leagues in the world, which makes it very important for me. That's why I decided to participate in the Big Bash. As a Bangladeshi, I always try to represent my country to the best of my ability, and I will give 100 per cent in Hobart," Rishad added.
