Bangladesh Batsmen Struggle With Zimbabwe's Extra Bounce

Bangladesh's batting coach, Mohammad Ashraful, has acknowledged that his team's batters are finding it challenging to adjust to the extra bounce on Zimbabwean pitches. This comes after a significant innings defeat in the one-off Test and a loss in the opening match of the three-ODI series. The team arrived in Zimbabwe following a successful run of four consecutive Test wins.

Ashraful highlighted the challenge posed by Zimbabwe's pace attack, noting the height advantage of their bowlers like Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava. He pointed out that the larger boundary sizes in Zimbabwe also present a different challenge compared to Bangladesh. Despite the team's struggles, Ashraful expressed confidence that the batters would find their rhythm in the upcoming matches.

The Bangladesh team now faces a must-win situation in the second ODI scheduled for Thursday, July 9. Ashraful, who made his international debut in Harare, urged his batters to adapt quickly to the conditions and the pressure from Zimbabwe's bowlers. He also suggested that some early dismissals in the first ODI were due to unluckiness.
