18 Aug
Summary
- Baller League will no longer broadcast on Sky Sports.
- The league's CEO stated Sky Sports was not central to their strategy.
- Over 90% of Baller League's audience watches online.

Baller League, a popular six-a-side football tournament, will no longer be broadcast on Sky Sports in the UK. The league, which launched in March 2025 and features notable managers like Chloe Kelly and KSI, has confirmed its contract with the broadcaster has not been renewed.
League chief executive Felix Starck stated that Sky Sports was always considered an add-on, not the core of their strategy. He pushed back against claims the event was dropped, asserting the league's ability to reach its audience directly through digital channels. Starck highlighted that over 90% of Baller League's audience consumes content online, with significant year-on-year increases in viewership.
The second season of Baller League UK garnered approximately 9.1 million YouTube livestreams, while the third season reached about 12 million on the same platform. This indicates a substantial growth of 32% on YouTube alone, not accounting for additional viewers on TikTok and Twitch. Starck noted that the audience they aim to reach differs from Sky Sports' primary demographic.
