Teenage Sensation Breaks Champions League Record in Arsenal Win

The big talking point, however, was the Champions League debut of 15-year-old Dowman, who came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute. At 15 years and 308 days old, Dowman broke the record previously held by Youssoufa Moukoko, who played for Borussia Dortmund at 16 years and 18 days old. Dowman's introduction to the European stage highlights the immense talent Arsenal have on their hands, with the youngster already making his Premier League debut earlier this season.
Despite the comfortable win, Arsenal were forced to withstand a late scare when a penalty was initially awarded against them, only for the decision to be overturned after a VAR review. The victory means Arsenal have now kept a clean sheet in all four of their Champions League matches so far this season.
